Love You Cards, For any Occasion!

I hope you enjoy this and have fun sending a letter to someone special in your life.  I always love getting and giving cards, they can be so pricey at the store. So here is a free and simple card to print at home.  You have to fill in the inside.  My favorite part!

All you need is a computer, printer with color ink, and paper.  I prefer a cream cardstock 67lb weight, this can be purchased at Staples or Office Max.  I have this cream cardstock on hand, it comes 125 sheets for $5-$10.  Imagine how many cards you can make for this price.  You are going to need envelopes as well, in which ever size you decide to cut this card into.  The cheapest envelopes are at Walmart.  I have 5 3/4" x 8 3/4" envelopes as well as 4 3/4" x 6 1/2" (great for shipping a 4x6 photo) envelopes in bulk for different occasions both bought at Walmart.

Here is the simple design printed onto the paper, for a big card, you can just fold this in half and begin.

For a smaller envelope you can size this to fit.

Cut into it, and before you know it you have a hand made card!
I love how cute this looks sitting on a table.  The cardstock gives it the weight it needs to be able to sit folded on any surface.

Here is the image to print out. Just slide it to your desktop, right click and select print!

Here is a fun and simple Thank You card.

7 Reasons to Send a Card

My card box sits on a shelf in my dinning room.
It holds a lot of cards
I add any new card I get and then go through it to keep the personalized cards.
This is a closer look of it on my bookshelf (an old shoe box transformed).  I just added a note book and a pretty pin to the front.

I put my cards in a box to have them  out, so I can see them and be reminded of the love that people have for me and my husband.  I look through these cards more now then before when I had them stuffed in a box.

NOW FOR THE 7 REASONS TO SEND A CARD

#1:  To just say "Whats up dog?"
#2:  To get the girls together for a fling.... you know it won't be the last, but makes it really fun.

#3: To tell someone your friends forever

#4:  To let them know that they helped you in a special way
(Puzzle piece card  and used the word "pieces" in the card text)

#5:  To say a handmade "Thank you", scrap paper, buttons, glue, and a pen .... whalla!

#6:  To just tell a person your thankful for them
#7: To tell a person  that they make you happy
This is the inside of a card.
I love this ides.  Make a  list of the reasons you love that  person. Personalize any card you are sending out.

Lastly the image above is a quote I want to leave you with.  Oh yeah,  it is always ok to fill the card with as much words, doodle art, and  love that you can.  A very special friend sent  me this quote on the back of  card and I would like to share with you:

"When we walk in different places God sends the strength and nourishment to face what comes our way.  Not all at once, but DAY BY DAY."

A good friend of mine reminds me that when she is having a not so good day - she sends a card.  Well now you can send one or look back at the old ones.  It is a great way to lift up your day.

Dear Lord:  Remind us that we are loved by so many and especially you.  It is a true blessing to do for others.  I ask that you give me the strength to put others first, just like you put us first.  Amen.

Handmade Product Tags

Getting ready for the farmers market this weekend.
I love creating my own product tags, below is the process.

Printed layout ( pictured on the bottom) onto the back of scrapbook paper and cut them out.

Bought a spool of string from Saint Vinny's for $2.  This is a great decoration piece and  I  use the string to attach the tag to my product.

I purchased this hole punch at Hobby Lobby for $2 (50% off).  The middle size hole punch is a perfect size.
This is the back of the three types of scrapbook pages I used. (Finished product)

This is how the tag looks on my product. I love how it adds a handmade touch!

This is the tag jpeg.  I print this onto a 8.5x11 inch scrapbook page (I cut a 12x12 page down to 8.5 x11).
If anyone would like this jpeg image above without my name printed on it please contact me and I can e-mail it to you.  I found a single tag on-line and created a template for myself.  I would love to share it.

Photo Collages

An image in my wedding photo collage.

This was an image transferred onto canvas.

Old picture frames and old  images help bring my vintage collage together.

I printed out a 8x10 image of my wedding invite and framed it in a vintage frame.
I love this image and the vintage feel of it.  My parents gave me the frame below and it looks stunning in the house.
This is my wall currently.  I love the different wedding images mixed with vintage photographs, and frames.

I tried something new.  Adding an image of yourself to any collage really makes it personal.  These are some images that I  created and sell at the farmers market.  This is an idea of what you can do with a variety of prints my prints
So I was inspired today to create a fun collage.  My attempt above is a fun way to incorporate many of my images onto one wall.  I love creating collages, I created my wedding wall months ago and have been meaning to share.  It is so exciting to be reminded of that beautiful day.  The many different vintage frames in both images above allow for the collage's to really work. Oh how I love frames!

Because of you

The start of a handmade card book!

My grandparents lived right next to the rat river where we would swim, fish, and walk  to all the time.

I dip my cookies in coffee!

I LOVE my grandma's pistachio torte.

For sure!
My grandma's favorite!

I guess in the big picture my grandma had my mom, and my mom had us.  :)

The last page of the hand made book!  I was going to staple it, but the stapler didn't reach.  Better idea.... I hole punched the top and bottom and ran a string through it.

So I woke up today to a phone call from my mom.  My grandma went in the hospital last night thinking she was having a heart attack.  After our long talk my first thought was this..... A small book... Because of you.... popped in my head and I was off like a lightning bolt.  I put this 8 page book together and wrote a message on the back.  She will get this tomorrow when I see her.

Many moments in our life we may not feel our worth or even why we are here, besides the chance of a heart attack my grandma has been going through a mild depression.  I hope that she (my grandma) knows that she is loved by so many and that she has made an impact on everyone she meets.  I want to share this with you, so that if their is someone in your life that may need a pick me up, whether hand drawn or on a computer this little phrase (Because of you) can make a world of difference.  I love getting an idea to do something and then acting on it. I feel it is truly God's way of whispering in my ear and Him then working through me.  So I just ask that when you hear those whispers ( those ideas of love).  Take a moment and act on them.  It is so powerful to live in the moment.  Thanks for reading, Liz.

Sending a Postcard

I received the postcard above (she bought it from my first farmers market) from a special friend and it made my heart smile!
This postcard has been a hit...... I love all the choices that people can pick from.  It  makes me feel so good to think they found just the right postcard to send to someone special in their life.
This is one of the four postcards that I sent out to some of my family and friends.

So I sell postcards at my stand in the farmers market.  I absolutely love the feed back that I have been getting back from these and I love the feeling you get when you send something like a postcard to someone.  It is amazing how a person can feel when they do something for others.  I know that with  my postcards and framed images of different inspirations, these items are being kept for the person that bought it, but as well they are being given as gifts to friends and family members.  This is just a great reminder of how we are so blessed to be able to give a compliment, encouragement, and the special gift of being thought of to others in our life.  No matter the busyness of life we all need to feel connected to our family and friends.

Pray for Today:  Lord allow me to see the blessings in all my life.  Please help me to continue to show my love and support for the family and friends in my life.  I pray that I can continue to encourage and bring joy to  others through you.  Dear Lord with You my side anything is possible.

Things that make my heart smile!

This little bugger was on the ceiling of our new home we just moved into.  I thought he looked like a heart so I left him alone, and now I don't know where he is.
I just created this print.  I put it in a frame and it sits above the fireplace.   I absolutely love it.
Word say:  chirp chirp tweet tweet .... sing sing dance dance..... wherever the wind may take us

This is picture of a dolphin that my little niece drew.  My sister bought her
the Ed Emberley's Drawing Book of Animals and she is in love.

A heart brownie how fitting!

On my 30th birthday I just had to jump!  Oh how young a trampoline can make your feel.

Love this so much.  My besty sent this over from Minnesota and I couldn't get enough of it .  I just had to show it off.

Alphabet soup - can be so much fun to play with!
I hope you enjoyed the things that have made my heart smile over the past couple of weeks.  Seeing the beauty in everything is a choice and I love to make that choice daily.  Thanks for looking!
